On September 29 through October 1, 2013, the UK RailCats attended the Annual AREMA Conference in Indianapolis. A total of 10 students attended along with advisors Dr. Jerry Rose and Dr. Reg Souleyrette.  Students were able to network with nearly 100 students from other AREMA student chapters across the country, connect with potential employers from approximately 30 different companies, and sit in on various technical sessions pertaining to railroad engineering.  In down time, members had the opportunity to tour the downtown area of Indianapolis and enjoy the atmosphere, culture, and cuisine of the area. Overall, the trip was a great success, and RailCats is already looking forward to attending the 2014 Conference when it returns to Chicago!
