The University of Kentucky presented “Engineers Day” to the local community on Feb. 24, 2018. E-Day brings together the college and community to present research, student clubs, and local engineering firms. RailCats was proud to sponsor multiple booths in the Rail Lab. Presenters included The National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) which presented a professional model train layout, Operation Lifesaver who had a display promoting railroad safety, and displays from Michael Rehorn and James and Luke Chapman of Lego trains and an n-scale train set. Travis Watts and Ethan Russell also showcased some of the research that UK is doing regarding rail.
